The panel
In order to select the programming for DISRUPT in a fair and democratic way, we convened a panel of 14 creative freelancers, academics and activists working within the creative arts and community sector. Each individual that made up the panel was nominated by the DISRUPT partners as an outstanding practitioner that they felt held the same values as the festival.
Over the course of a month, the panel collectively read over 250 applications before individually long-listing and then short-listing. In February the panel then convened in small groups to discuss the applications and make their final selections. Facilitated by Chloe Osborne, these sessions encouraged each group to collectively decide on their own methods of selection before finally settling on our finalised programme.
